Casa Mella-Russo is a conservative art gallery and cultural center located in the Colonial Zone of the Dominican Republic with headquarters in a historic house from 1836. The brand concept is based on history, the value of things and culture, because of this we resort to the General Archive of the Nation to investigate the origins of printing in the Dominican Republic.
We focus the design of this identity on the typefaces and layout forms used in the first printed publications of the Dominican Republic. The monogram is created from these characters and simultaneously alludes to the doors of the Dominican colonial zone.
